Bullying

Bullying is a world wide problem that needs to be put to an end. Its something that has tried to been stopped but has continued to happen. Many schools have assemblies that try to teach kids why bullying is wrong. They also tell kids the consequences that come out of bullying. Hoping that the kids will understand and stop bullying. In the book Lord of the Flies, Piggy is bullied constantly. Some of the boys try to help him out and stand up for him, although since he is an easy target he continues to be bullied. I hope kids can soon realize bullying is wrong and they will stop.

Class Responce

My favorite thing we have done in class so far was dissecting the Owl pellets. The reason i liked it so much is because i learned a lot of things that i have never known. For example, I never knew it was actually regurgitation. That was an interesting thing for me to learn. I also enjoyed watching the Dirty Jobs video so we can learn about it, in a fun way like watching television. Also, once we got down to the dissecting it got even more fun.
Finding the skeleton inside of our pellet was very interesting. At first it looked like just a bunch of bones, and then My partner and I started to reassemble the rodent skeleton. We put together the skull vertebrate, and many other body parts creating a full skeleton.
I've read further information at http://www.biologycorner.com/worksheets/owlpellet.html. here I have learned further body parts found in the pellet. Also, I learned pellets are also made by Hawks.
These were the reasons I found this class activity to be so fun. I'm glad i have gotten the opportunity to do it as well.

Current Events 2

The article I have read was titled Oceans Carbon Dioxide Uptake Varies year to Year. The article basically states that surface water in the ocean sops up C02. This allows scientists to better estimate the future rate at which the planets warming gas will build up in the atmosphere. Scientists cant identify why this is happening but the Ocean is considerably gathering more C02.
I find this to be interesting and helpful to us. It will allow scientists to do further studies and help us better understand whats happening. We will be able to see what will happen in the future with our the planet warming gas building up in our atmosphere. I do hope they figure out whats happening so that we will be able to know.

Summer Reading Question

What sort of person do you image the author of the novel to be?
My answer to this question would be a very imaginative one. I say this because the story had a lot of very unexpected turning points. These turning points were completely unexpected and added a lot of excitement to the story. This author must have also had a very great imagination. I say this because like I stated about the turning points, everything was unexpected and creative.

Current Events

One thousand miles northeast of Hawaii is something known as the Pacific garbage patch. What it is is a large patch of human detritus. Why its there is an obvious reason. Our human race is continuing to litter and pollute our environment. Garbage is continuously added to the patch of filth.It is a terrible sight to see that we dispose of our trash in such a way. This is an important issue that needs to be put to an end.

I feel ashamed when I heard that this is the way our country disposes of our waste.I hope that we can soon put this to an end.
